4.1. Methodological overview

This subject consists of a training stay performed in an entity (companies and public and private institutions related to the food sector) for at least 120 hours and the presentation of a written report.  The planning of this subject is shown below.

At the beginning of the first semester, the coordinator lecturer will held a meeting with students to inform about the planning of the subject and to show the web page where they can find the following files:

  • The list of entities that have already signed an agreement for students of the Degree to perform a training stay. If a student makes a contact with another entity to carry out the external practice has to inform the coordinator, who will ask to UNIVERSA to formalize the corresponding agreement.
  •   The "Registration Form" that the student must fill in with their personal data indicating in order of preference three entities where performing the practice. The student should give the coordinator this form before the established deadline. For the assignment of the entity, the academic marks of the student will be considered.

At the second meeting, about two months later, the coordinator will inform to students the assigned entity and the lecturer that will supervise the practice. The supervisor must be a lecturer of the Degree. In case the student has established a previous agreement with a lecturer, this will be the supervisor. For those practices carried out under programs of national or international mobility of students, the supervisor will be the lecturer that coordinates the destination program.

Before starting the training period, UNIVERSA will prepare the "Annex to the Educational Cooperation Agreement" for each student whose content must integrate the requirements set out in Article 7, paragraph 2 of Real Decreto 1707/2011, of November 18. This annex must be signed by the tutor of the entity, the coordinator and the student.

At the end of the training period, the tutor of the entity must fill in the "Assessment Questionnaire of the entity tutor" and send it to the coordinator. The supervisor must fill in the "Assessment Questionnaire of the practice report". The mark of both questionnaires will be reflected in the "Final assessment of the student" that will be also completed by the supervisor and sent to the coordinator.

The coordinator, once received the assessment questionnaires will completed the academic Act to be delivered to the secretary of the center.
